Title Treetops South Downs
As always, I am drawn to the natural world, finding inspiration from what I see from my own windows, watching the changes in the seasons. This time the clouds that raced across the sky offered ideas for two of these embroideries, as I glimpsed streaks of colour with the sky in between. The other two pieces were drawn from landscape, one local from the South Downs with an amazing golden sky, and the other inspired by a visit I made with my husband to Spain, where we watched the storm clouds gathering over Fuerteventura.
I hope that each piece shows the spaces between as I saw them.
