Dream House

Charcoal on paper

60cm x 60cm

Jackie’s drawings and prints explore imagined spaces - the idea of “house” alludes to a combination of belonging, memory and loss. They draw on the way memories and dreams can make the familiar feel indeterminate and uncertain.

The use of charcoal and the smoky qualities of printmaking help to create blurred, ambiguous imagery.
Jackie has developed her drawing practice around the perception of architectural space for many years and has more recently begun exploring Tetra Pak drypoint printing.
