ARTEL is a group of professional artists who collaborate to exhibit their work whilst establishing a dynamic community. Working in the South Downs area, each artist has developed a unique and informed practice. The artwork from this covers a rich and diverse range of subjects and media shared through an annual show in Chichester at the Oxmarket Contemporary gallery.

Bosham, once a busy port has a rich history: the
Romans, Canute, Harold….
No longer of such importance it remains
a place for comings and goings.
Boats, mostly small. Mostly pleasure.
Buoyed, tied, high and dry, hauled up
waiting……..
Waiting for tide, wind, weather…..
Waiting for excitement, adventure, the
unknown……..
Arrivals dock, anchor, tether.…
Fresh eyes, new perspectives.
For the theme ‘The Space Between’ Isabel has incorporated newsprint into Bosham-inspired
seascapes to explore our relationship between dissonance and quiet, manmade and nature,
hopes and dreams.
